Bhubaneswar (Odisha) November 30 Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched 17 industrial projects worth around Rs 1,000 crore, including the inauguration of 7 industrial projects and groundbreaking for 10 projects, said a press release from Chief Minister’s Office. The seven inaugurated projects of investment of Rs.152 crore and the 10 projects for which groundbreaking did will come up with an investment of Rs 848 crore. All these projects will create employment opportunities for around 2400 persons.
These 17 projects include Shrimp processing and cold chain unit khatmtapada, Balasore, a polyurethane foam manufacturing unit at Jaymangal, Khurda, a resort in Gopalpur, Berhampur, a paper packaging products in khurda, a mattress foam in khurda, an amusement park in Balasore, a water park in Bargarh, a nano unit at Paradeep, Grain-based distillery unit in Gajapati, Cement unit at jajpur, expansion of sarvesh refractories at sundergarh, a manufacturing unit in Balasore, Hatchery unit in Mayurbhanj, Sprinkles pipes unit in Khurda, UV printing board unit at Cuttack, a plastic rope unit at Balasore, and a medical and industrial oxygen unit at somnathpur, Balasore. Odisha is going high with impressive investments in the manufacturing sector, step by step, making the position of the State stronger as a Manufacturing Hub of India.
